Today (June 10), China Daily dedicates an entire section to the Three Gorges Project, showcasing China’s strength and Yichang’s pride to the world.
The Three Gorges Project, born from China's early 20th-century dream of national strength and rejuvenation, has become the world's largest water management and hydropower project after decades of deliberation and construction. Delivering integrated benefits in flood control, power generation, navigation and water resource management, it has profoundly reshaped the economic landscape of the Yangtze River — the world's third longest river — while providing robust support for the sustained advancement of Chinese modernization.
